KOMPEN Corporation production facility was founded in 1995 and has been in use since March 1996. It operates on the 45 km Lâdik Location, Sarayönü-Konya, Istanbul Road, an open area of 132,700 m² and a closed area of 40,000 m². Its areas of activities are production of PVC door and window profiles, joinery and Isıcam products.
KOMPEN Corporation provides its services via PVC profile production: Extrusion, PVC door-windows systems production: Assembly, and Isıcam production facilities. As the first integrated facility in Turkey to produce pvc profiles, door-windows and ısıcam, KOMPEN has regional directorates in Konya, Istanbul and Izmir and regional representative offices in Ankara and Bursa. Kompen holds the 8% of the door-window market share in Turkey with its 550 dealers network. In the international market, Kompen exports its products from Far East to America, from Turkic Republics to Arabian Peninsula, from Europe to Pacific Ocean. Since its establishment, Kompen has been in the front lines of exportation and pioneers the sector with its principle of Complete Quality in many ways. In 2003, Kompen had entered in the league of the top 500 industrial enterprises and currently continues its activities in the second 500 list. Starting its production at the beginning with 2000 ton/year capacity, Kompen has approached to 30.000 ton/year capacity in a very short time period.
In 1998, Kompen, who pioneered the sector in many aspects with complete quality principle, achieved to be the first integrated facility which owned ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate in the production of PVC door and window profiles, door and window systems and Isıcam (double glazing). Kompen continued its success by getting international quality certificates like INCERC, GOST, IFT, RAL, UKR-Cepro and had adopted ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System in 2003. KOMPEN Corporation fulfilled the quality management system successfully and won the TSE Quality Award in 2004. By the beginning of 2009, Kompen renewed its quality management system and completed its efforts to get ISO 9001:2008 version and received ISO 9001:2008 certificate. Moreover, Kompen got its ISO 14001:2004 certificate and had registered its sense of importance about Society and Environmental Health to TSE. In 2010, Kompen added TS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety certificate for its facilities. Kompen, who produced the first CE certified Isıcam Systems in Turkey also has the first CE certified door and window systems.
Kompen enriches its portfolio to meet the ever growing construction sector, and offers alternative solutions, which fit to all parts of the society, to its consumers with the idea of “Complete Quality”. Kompen profiles successfully pass the aging tests with 12Gj, where the Europen climate standart is 8Gj. In June 2002, Kompen introduced ThermoLine KOM 600 Series, whose K value can reach up to 1.3 W/m² in accordance with the Europen standarts, and made heat saver products available to Turkish people while raising the quality level. Kompen improved its products and today offers 5 chamber series to the customers.
The powder raw material is obtained by mixing the raw materials at the amounts specified in the mixer units. The mixture is run at 120 ° C. The powder mixture cooled to 45 ° C in the mixer is left in the silo for one day and then pressed on the extruder machines, obtaining the profile under heat and high pressure from these machines. There are 24 profile extrusion machines with high capacity and quality in the extrusion section.
In the assembly department, the measurements determined according to the customer demands are converted to digital in computer environment. All stages are carried out with the accompaniment of CNC-controlled machine park. The profiles cut with the CNC processing machines are transferred to the next stage with a carrier. The four corner welds provide miter and precise joining. There happens to be no welding burrs in the profiles which are welded with 4 corner welding machine in Kompen facilities.
The ısıcam forming machines used in the ısıcam section are composed of 6 different machines. These include glass cutting, glass washing machines, lathing and gluing machines, glass pressing machines and thiocol application machines.
The machines, which are of high importance in the facility, are all automated. Like extrusion machines, 4 corner welding machines, scouring machines, ısıcam washing and forming machine, thiocol application machines. There are universal machines too, like supporting plate cutting machine, supporting plate molding machines.
The R&D department works to rehabilitate the deficiencies of profiles and supporting materials in current applications and prepare for production rapidly. On the other hand, they create and update different system and profile designs for future use, and register these designs if approved.
In the mold maintenance department there are machines like lathe machine, surface grinding machine, hole drilling machine, cutters.
Continuing the principle of "Complete Quality" with its training activities carried out within its scope, Kompen Corporation emphasis is on the seminars that are needed to increase the quality of service. In 2006 and 2007, Kompen Corporation was awarded the Consumer Quality Award by Consumer Magazine and also received the Golden Brand Award in 2007 and 2009 from the Association of Protecting All Consumers, whose center is in Istanbul and the Eurasian Consumer Protection Association in 2012, 2013 and 2014 'Consumer Quality Award'.
Holding the ISO 14001 certificate, which is awarded by TSE to environmentally conscious companies, Kompen Corporation was the first company to get the CASE certificate in PVC sector in 2009, in the extent of “EU-Turkey Chambers Forum” project run by Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges and Eurochambers.
